“King of Kings” was born from my lifelong love of fantasy, especially The Lord of the Rings, and its deep biblical influences. I set out to portray a sovereign figure who embodies calm authority and protection, someone whose presence alone conveys safety, reassurance, and quiet strength without needing explanation.
Using techniques inspired by John Singer Sargent, including loose, confident brushwork paired with intentional restraint, I focused on atmosphere and emotion over strict realism. The result is a timeless, almost mythic character who feels both legendary and familiar, standing as a symbol of peace, leadership, and enduring hope.
This piece reflects my fascination with stories where faith, myth, and humanity intersect, inviting viewers to linger and feel grounded in something greater than themselves.
