“Maiden” was inspired purely by the work of John Singer Sargent, particularly the way he captured elegant women, flowing dresses, and the depth and movement found within delicate ruffles and fabric. I was drawn to his ability to suggest form and luxury through confident brushwork rather than rigid detail.
 
In this piece, I explored those techniques through my own lens, allowing looseness, texture, and layered paint to define the figure and her dress. The focus is not only on the subject, but on the feeling of quiet grace and timeless beauty that emerges through light, shadow, and motion.
 
“Maiden” represents my study of classical elegance interpreted in my own style, blending historical influence with a contemporary sensibility.
